Welcome friends, and thanks for stopping by! Most of you know me, but for those who don’t, I’m Sami and I am a self-taught chef and baker from Delaware!!

I moved to San Diego in 2011 and have been here ever since with no plans to move back! From the weather, to the beaches, to the city, to the people; I love it all! I currently work at a pretty rad burger joint (Hodads), and I love that too!

Outside of work, I’ve always had a passion for being in the kitchen. I started with the baking side as a young girl, but as I got older and needed to feed myself, I realized I was capable of much more!

I originally started my”hobby,” now turned business, as only making specialty cakes, but my customers wanted more! Anytime I would bring my grandfather’s pasta sauce around, it would be gone before I could blink! That’s how Lucky Lou’s began! People want more than just cake, so I plan to give it to them!

Lucky Lou’s will start as an online “Italian Style Food Stand,” specializing in fresh homemade sauces, pastas, veggies, desserts and custom cakes upon request. As Lucky Lou’s grows, so will my menu, and eventually will turn in to a dine-in restaurant! Although, that will be a few years from now, my goals are set and I plan to accomplish them. I hope you all join me on the way!

I am excited to continue on my journey as a chef and entrepreneur, to continue learning, and to create even more amazing food for you!
